How the X4000 works

The PainWave X4000 is a safe, drug-free and painless therapy, designed to work on chronic pain related to most tissue and bone damage conditions.

Clinically proven technology

It uses pulsed wave therapy, a clinically proven technology that, until now, has only been available to medical professionals.

The device emits a pulsed electromagnetic field which penetrates the cells around the area of pain, stimulating those cells to improve their oxygen usage, thereby promoting healing and regeneration. It also encourages the release of endorphins, your body’s natural pain relieving chemicals.

How it works in detail

The PainWave X4000 is applied directly to the point of pain, either by holding it in one position or, alternatively, moving it in a gentle circular motion. It can be used directly on your skin or through clothing or even medical dressings, such as hydrogels and plaster casts.

The X4000 emits pulsed electromagnetic waves which penetrate up to 6cm into the skin and body tissue, with a spread of around 9cm.

The electromagentic waves agitate the cells which in turn create nerve or muscle impulses which activate and relax the space between cells, transferring electrical activity from one cell to another.

This transfer results in an increased blood supply to those areas being treated, which helps to reduce inflammation and swelling.

As well as this benefit, the increase in oxygen that’s available to the cells activates and regenerates poorly performing cells.

The electrostatic output level of the X4000 is set to release encephalin and endorphins (chemicals that both occur naturally in the body) which raise pain thresholds and modulate transmission of your body’s pain perception.

In addition, the pulsating magnetic field leads to improved movement of important chemicals such as potassium, chloride, calcium and protein through the cell walls, helping to decrease pain dramatically.

New blood vessels form where needed, which helps to speed up the pain relief and increases the blood circulation throughout the body with no effect on your heart rate or blood pressure.

This regenerative effect on cells increases their efficiency leading to an increase in the oxygen content of your blood. When cells work better, more oxygen enters the blood stream, to help all muscle, tissue and skin functions. The cells will also have improved energy condition helping to improve your body’s resistance to infection and swelling.
